First gameplay experiences

So, I've been playing the single player campaign for some time now.. and I have to say I actually love it. The story that builds up once you progress further into the game is just great. After the majority of the first missions a character joins your ship supplying you with more missions to adopt.
Also, you unlock the Armory, Cantina and Research Lab after the first few mission, leaving you with tons of upgrades to your structures and units.

I won't start competing on Battle.net until I've completed the campaign and fully mastered the game (e.g. keyboard shorcuts). Why? I actually want to participate in the upper tiers of the game. I hope this will come with lots and lots of practice and battles against other players. However, this may never happen. Who knows?

Stay tuned.

Installing StarCraft II

The installation process is commencing at this very moment! 62% and rising. There's this short story that is being told inside the installer just as I remember it from Wrath of the Lich King. It's some background information on how the war between the 3 races commenced and actually happened to Kerrigan.
While listening to this little story, the Ghosts of the Past trailer crossed my mind.

Ugh.. I'll be working tomorrow from 9 AM until 5 PM, bummer! I'll certainly play at least 1 mission, though!

Stay tuned.

Starcraft 2 Collector's Edition pre-release!

I have gotten my hands on a copy of the Starcraft II Collector's Edition pre-release! Got it this morning. Servers are still locked down, though.. so no Starcraft until later today.
The artwork in the 176 page-long artbook looks gorgeous. Check the collector's edition out yourself, I made a photo.

Opening post

Hey there!

If you're reading this, you're probably interested in StarCraft II. On this weblog, I'll be covering my personal experience in playing StarCraft II and I'll be writing guides on strategies for the Protoss, Zerg and Terran races. Also, I'll cover most of the news that gets into the world regarding this (very) soon-to-be-released RTS. Last but not least, I'll be capturing gameplay footage in HD and I will upload it to YouTube.

My name is Mike. Over at WoW-Pro.com, I've been writing under the name 'Shikamaru'. I've created and written quite some guides on World of Warcraft until the point that I stopped playing the game which is about 7 to 8 months ago. I'm not as active anymore as I was back in the day on WoW-Pro, but I occasionally hop by to say hello. Why I am pointing this out you ask? Jame, one of the administrators, has greatly helped me polishing my writing skills and I'm very grateful for that. Also, I'd like to thank Jiyambi for everything she has done for me.

Back to reality, you now know what this blog is going to be about. I'll be posting regularly!
